About GreatDatingBlogs

Building a disabled dating site where love is truly accessible.

We are a disability-led platform on a simple mission: turn dating with a disability from an exhausting obstacle course into a place that finally feels like home. Sister-founded, community-shaped, and proudly anti-ableist.

Our story

Sisters, frustration, and a better way

In 2021, our co-founder Jacqueline was diagnosed with severe gastroparesis and had to get a feeding tube. Suddenly the dating apps she had used for years felt impossible. Every conversation came with a question: when do I tell him? Disclosure anxiety was eating her dating life alive.

Her sister Alexa - a natural problem-solver who is not disabled herself - kept asking the obvious question: why isn't there a real, legitimate dating site for people like you? The answer, of course, was that nobody had built one properly yet. So in late 2024, the sisters started designing the disabled dating site they wished had existed when Jacqueline was at her loneliest.

"I wanted my sister - and the world's largest minority - to finally have a positive dating experience. Not a sad corner of the internet. A real product." - Alexa, Co-Founder, GreatDatingBlogs

GreatDatingBlogs launched publicly in 2025 and now serves disabled and chronically ill singles across the United States - from wheelchair users and the Deaf community to autistic, ADHD, bipolar, and spoonie members. We are still sister-run, still disability-led, and still building the platform our community asks for.

Our mission

Real connection without barriers.

Disabled people are not an afterthought to be retrofitted into mainstream apps. We exist to make accessibility, dignity, and honest disclosure the default - so finding a partner is about chemistry, not about whether your access needs will be tolerated.

What we are

Inclusive. Diverse. Committed.

When our community is asked to describe GreatDatingBlogs in three words, the same three come back again and again. We did not write them on a poster - our members did.

Value 01

Inclusive

Every disability, every chronic condition, every gender identity and orientation. No "we welcome you, but…" footnotes. Inclusion is the floor, not a feature.

Value 02

Diverse

Race, age, body type, communication style, mobility, neurotype. A real reflection of the 1.3 billion disabled adults worldwide - not a single curated aesthetic.

Value 03

Committed

Disability-led product team, 24/7 human moderation, and a roadmap shaped by the community we serve. We are in this for the long term.

Our ethos

What we stand for

Stance

Anti-ableism, no exceptions

Pity, fetishization, and "inspiration porn" are out. We moderate against them in profiles, messages, and team behavior - not just on a values page.

Stance

LGBTQIA+ welcoming

30+ gender identities, 20+ orientations, pronouns on every profile, queer-led moderation. Disabled queer love is the default, not the edge case.

Stance

Disability-led, always

Disabled testers, AAC users, screen-reader users, and Deaf community advisors are in the room for every product decision. Nothing about us, without us.

Trust

Built to be trusted

Disabled daters are cautious online for very good reasons. These are the standards baked into the platform - not bolted on later.
